MILL VALLEY, Calif., Nov. 3, 2010 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Redwood Trust, Inc. (NYSE: RWT) today announced its third quarter 2010 earnings through the publication of an earnings press release.  In addition, Redwood Trust today published The Redwood Review for the third quarter 2010.  Both the earnings press release and The Redwood Review were filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) today on Form 8-K.  

Redwood Trust has also completed its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the third quarter 2010 and would normally have filed this Quarterly Report on the same day we publish The Redwood Review.  The third quarter 2010 Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q will not be filed today due to the need for our filing agent to complete the process of tagging data in eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL), which is now required at the time Quarterly Reports on Form 10-Q are filed with the SEC.  We currently expect to file this Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q on Thursday, November 4, 2010.
